Love tom yum soup and noodles?

Then Kuey Teow Rung Reung Restaurant is the place to go. Located on Sukhumvit Soi 26 in Phrom Phong, it's said that they serve the best noodle soups in the area. There are two restaurants (same restaurant); one on the corner and the one next to it severs the same dishes.  Not known to many tourists, their popular spicy tom yum noodles and fried fish skin are the local favorites.

The noodle dishes are customizable. To start, choose a bowl size; small, medium or large.  With the spicy tom yum noodles, you can have a choice of dry version or soup version with your choice of meats such as fish balls, ground pork and liver.

There are also non-spicy, clear soup noodle dishes with your own choice of meat and different types of noodles (rice noodles, thick, thin, yellow flour noodles).

I had both tom yum noodle soup and the clear pork broth with yellow noodles.  Rice noodles are good in the tom yum soup and the yellow noodles are better for the pork broth.

A medium sized bowl is a size small in the western standard, so if you want to try different noodle soups that's the right amount.

The restaurant on the corner is believed  to be the original when the family first started the business.  Some even say that the food is better there which is debatable..... I ate at both and the food was equally good.
