Banyan Tree Bangkok is a five-star hotel located between Australian and German embassies on South Sathon Road.  It's conveniently located; BTS station Saladang is only 5 minute-walk away.

The hotel interior is impressive with a spacious open lobby beautifully decorated in elegant Thai/Asian style.  The heavenly scent of exotic flowers refreshes the senses.

The guest rooms are roomy and  stocked with amenities such as fresh fruits, snacks and drinks and mini bar minibar.  Beds are comfortable and a small gift of appreciation for staying at the hotel is presented every day.  They are little incense sticks, candles and coasters which can be found at Banyan Tree Gallery Spa.

The spacious bathroom has a tub and a separate shower.  It's stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap and body lotion which can be purchased in the spa also.

The hotel is well known for its iconic roof-top bar, Moon Bar, on the 61st floor.  Having drinks looking over a panoramic view of Bangkok city lights should be one of the must-dos in Bangkok.

Evening wouldn't be complete without having a seafood and steak dinner in a romantic setting at Vertigo on the roof-top terrace adjacent to Moon Bar.  There is a casual dress code for both establishments: No flip-flops, shorts etc...

There is a fitness center and an outdoor pool at the hotel.  For anyone who prefers to take exercise outdoors, Lumpini Park is a great place to run/walk and get away from the crazy Bangkok traffic.  It' s closely located to the hotel and BTS Saladang station. Many locals come to exercise early in the mornings.  One loop around the park is about 1.5 miles (2.5 kilometers).
